Thank You: episode 16
I just realized I never posted the picspam of the last ep of Thank You. Seeing I am taking a break in the hotel, this is a pretty good time, no?
Dr. Min carrying Grandpa who is fixating on handing out pies...
But he is too tired and ill to do so:
So Dr. Min does it for him. I sort of died.
Job done, he passes out exhausted. And Grandpa comes in and leaves a pie for him!
In the aftermath of her grief, he tries to make her eat:
Oh, God.
I love the two of them together so much!
He is taking her to school:
He discovers while he was at work, YS and Bom packed up and left. Poor YS, it's all too much for her and she grabs the chance to start afresh, and does not want to tell Dr. Min for fear he will convince her to stay.
He comes after them!!!
I love how she tries to explain this is for Bom, can he give her some time to put Bom into a school in Seoul (implicitly reassuring him she isn't leaving him), and he points out running now means running forever.
But the island folks ask her to stay too!!! (Finally).
GUUUUH.
Unscumbag does the best thing he'd ever done and reassures Bom he is not her father because her father is much cooler/handsomer etc. Oh, Unscumbag, I ended up really loving you.
They are so gorgeous together...
Unscumbag's Mom begs Dr. Min to let Unscumbag have a chance...but he always has one: he just realized he can't win YS back and left YS and Bom to the care of someone who is most competent to do it.
I love this scene with YS and Dr. Min when, yes, she finally accept she is the equal to anybody, and repeats to him what he told her, i.e. she is a single mother of an HIV-positive child, and there is nothing shameful about it. And the way he looks at her...
