Kdrama movie and drama rumors of glee!!!

1. Apparently, there are rumors that Rain is planning to make a drama again, called Four Seasons and co-starring Jeon Ji-Hyun (star of the Sassy Girl movie). Even better, it's by the director of Something Happened in Bali and screenwriter of A Love to Kill (two of my fave dramas), as well as MISA and Thank You.

Expect angst with that writer/director combo. We'll be lucky to get away with maiming and beatings in the streets.

But no angst on my side, as long as it happens.

2. In confirmed, non-rumory news, Kang Dong Won is making a fantasy movie! Jeon Wo Chi with Lim Soo Jung (MISA, Cyborg). Plot: In the film, Dong-won Kang plays main character Jeon Woo-chi. His character was born over 500 years ago, but became imprisoned in a portrait. To break free and walk the earth again he makes a pact to capture the “manpaseokjeok” (a musical instrument that gives magical powers), before rival Hwa-dam (Yun-seok Kim) is able to do so. Meanwhile, it seems Jeon Woo-chi is more of a lover than a hero and he becomes enraptured with In-kyeong Seo (Su-jeong Lim), a budding actress and possibly someone he loved many centuries ago.

3. There are also rumors that Song Il-Gook signed on to do another period epic drama. Yay, say I. Man was born to sit on a horse and wield a sword. And angst hotly while doing so. (Side note: it will never cease to amuse me that he married a lady judge. It's like a set-up for a drama! Seriously!)

4. Not rumors but delicious fact. Director of Coffee Prince has picked his next drama. Subject? Figure skaters. Yes, indeed. To be called Triple and to star Jeong Il-woo and Min Hyo-Rin. No idea who either of them are, and frankly, don't care! Kdrama deliciousness plus sequined deliciousness of figure skating (one of my fave things) combibed together? Can the world handle this much awesomeness? I guess we'll find out.

ETA: 5. How could I forget. Jang Hyuk (Thank You, Robbers) and Kim Ming Jun (the sexy rebel Sang-Baek from Damo, In-Soon is pretty etc) have been cast as leads in a drama about gamblers and the mob. YES. To be called Tazza. Female lead not cast yet.

korea, asian films, doramas
