MV of the Day: Secondary OTP of Devil Beside You
I am in the small minority of people who do not care for Devil Beside You, because the main couple irritate me, but, but, but...
I adore the Secondary OTP with a mad passion. They are my fave secondary OTP and if the drama was about them, I'd love DBY a heck of a lot.
It doesn't hurt that Yuan Yi ia played by Kingone, who is incredibly hot as always.
So, yeah, basically my OTP for the drama are Yuan Yi and Qing Zi. For those who have never seen DBY, Yuan Yi is a very straight-arrow, quietly serious basketball team captain, and at the beginning of the drama, the heroine has a crush on him. She ends up preferring the badboy hero (why???? I have never gotten it, ever!) and Yuan Yi, who liked her back, is devastated.
Qing Zi is the pushy, spunky best friend of the heroine (who, unlike the Heroine, is not a walk-over drip). She has always liked Yuan Yi but was never going to say anything, but now...she is going to try to win him over.
I was a goner for that ship from the moment she went running looking for him in the rain to find him possibly crying (Heroine just dumped him) and told him she liked him, kissed him on the cheek and ran away. Awwww. And they end up being just such an awesome, common-sense couple (they always talk out their misunderstandings), with some wonderfully crazy romantic stuff (I mean, she asks him to tell her just the ends of the fairytales and he keeps doing one story after another, until she falls asleep? And he rescues her from a date rapist? And he has to duel her kendo champion father for the right to keep her with him in Taiwan? SQUEE).
Anyway, I could ramble about them forever, so better stop, and here is the MV.
