One Fine Day: only way it would be more awesome is if they added chocolate

I have just finished episode 15 of One Fine Day and I completely, utterly, and irrationally hate every single character who is not the OTP with the strength of a thousand suns. I want them all to DIAF:

* the selfish, ridiculous Secondary Girl who is woeful about not taking her medicine and is passively-agressively trying to get Gun to stay with her. Let him go, selfish twit, he spent most of his life abnegating himself for your selfish sake!
* the awful 'adoptive' brother of Gun who is stupid and ridiculous and his horrible 'adoptive' Dad who just told Ha Neul she should never love Gun because her Dad killed his, even though Gun is fine with it, 'and OMG, you are selfish and evil, Ha Neul and will ruin his life' How??? And then did a repeat number with Gun (who thankfully ignored it). Stupid old man is hurting Ha Neul and should die.
* Ha Neul's nightmare family: abusive wannabe rapist half-brother, psycho Mom and Dad who should be in jail
* Secondary Guy, because he isn't Gun, and yes, I've gotten that irrational.

But oh, my OTP!!!!! The kiss scene made me DIE. Because she found out the truth about her parentage, and she found out her father killed Gun's, and she also realized Gun knows and she is at that bus stop she often is and she calls him and she is all 'Taekwon V, get moving' (she refers to him as that, I think Taekwon V is some sort of rescuing superhero) and he gets there and eeee!!! (Side note: I love that when she finds out something so huge, for her it's about Gun, as opposed to Secondary Girl who, when in a similar situatio (when she found about about his working for her bills) it's all about herself).

Because she makes him sit next to her, and then she takes his head in her hands and she says she wants to thank him, and she tells him 'thank you for coming today' and kisses him on the cheek, and then she continues 'thank you for remembering me and finding me' and this time it's a forehead kiss, and 'thank you for putting up with my crankiness' and she kisses his nose, and then she says 'thank you for loving me despite my flaws' and kisses him on the mouth.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I am so going to screencap this when I get home. And it's such a quiet, gentle, tender scene and his eyes are open and he looks like this is too enormous a gift and he can't believe it almost. And then she pulls away a little, and he pauses and reaches for her, and very very gently kisses her back.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

But seriously, they are such an incredibly OTP, from all the painful scenes earlier when he found out the truth about her parentage and would wander around and ended up in a fight and in a police station and she had to come and get him and he was so mad and yelled at her but she ended up bandaging his knuckles and...seriously. I love them. And you later learn that what he felt on learning about her true parentage wasn't even anger, it was this overwhelming fear that she will find out and get hurt. He later even told the murderer of his parents, the man who made his life hell, that he will forget it all if the guy won't tell Ha Neul about her parentage. OMG. And I know it's to protect Ha Neul from hurt but it's also because I think he is deathly afraid she would leave him.

OMG. I think he could easier die than stop loving her.

And then he pulls her into a hug and begs her never to leave. And they go to the beach and run around like giddy teenagers, and are so happy at the market (I am so screencapping that too) and yes, they are only whole and functional and uncomplicatedly happy when they are together. And they stand there, watching a street performer, their hands almost touching, both too terrified to make the first move and then she very tentatively takes his hand first, just the tips of fingers, and his face! And then he takes hers more securely.

I find it interesting that she is the one who has to make all the first moves: hand-holding, I love yous (she tells him first, on the bridge, and she hugs him, and his face is turned away when he tells her 'I love you' back, and it's as inevitable as falling, isn't it?), and even the kiss. I wonder if it's because he loves her so much, he never wants to push anything or make her uncomfortable, and he feels unworthy?

But yeah, after the beach (Gong Yoo looks SO GOOD in black) and market yummies (I am hungry now!), I love the scene of them going to sleep. Because he insists on sleeping outside, but when it rains she makes him come in, and when he falls asleep, she scoots over and cuddles to him and when they wake up, they are entirely intertwined, bare feet peeking out of the blanket, arms tangled. And he looks at her as if he can't believe his eyes, and pretends to sleep to make it last longer.

And I love how once they acknowledge their love, he doesn't back off or hesitate.

Was this even coherent? I was so fangirling and incoherent and verklempt, this is a total stream of consciousness, not even in order of events :P

gong yoo, doramas, one fine day
