Am on episode 8 of One Fine Day and oh. oh. OH it keeps getting better and better.
I do want to smack Hyo Jin (Secondary Girl) so hard her head spins. WTF, you spoiled, shallow, IDIOTIC twit. I was cheering when Gun told her she will always be second to Ha Neul and that if she doesn't want him to help, he won't. YES. The thing that drives me the craziest is why does she believe that just because they are adopted siblings and not blood, it's bizarre and incomprehensible for Gun to care for Ha Neul and want to take care of her, etc? WTF? Are adoptive families not families? No wonder if she has psycho views like that, she keeps hoping Gun is in love with her, despite his statements to the contrary. He is helping her and she is not a blood relative, so no way he can view her as a friend or sister or someone he is sorry for. Things like that don't exist! UGH. I hate that whole freaking family and want the Creepy Not Brother run them over with a truck.
But poor Ha Neul, to find the truth in such a way :(
Last note: you know, whatever their relationship was, is, or will be: quasi-siblings, or friends, or lovers, it's so clear that nobody can come between Gun and Ha Neul. It wouldn't matter if they only viewed each other as siblings and never even had a single consciously romantic thought towards each other. They are still the sole most important person in this world to the other and nobody would be able to come between. They really are like two broken pieces which glue back together into a whole.
Episode 15 of Hong Gil Dong was incredibly awesome. I can't wait to watch ep 16.
Here are screencaps from ep 15 taken by moi ;)
He slips up and tells her she is lovely :P
Escaping the mad King and outwitting Lady Noh requires matching outfits and hats:
This scene is meep-worthy:
'It's a really crowded palanquin so I will use it as an excuse to invade your personal space without admitting I want a hug'
And they watch fireworks together:
Emo Prince confronting his brother. I think I have finally fallen for Emo Prince. Hard.
Yi Nok and Emo Prince. She is so clueless and he is so in love.
Don't we all feel like this some days?
Gil Dong looking at the Yi San sword, which nearly cost him his life twice.
And meeting Emo Prince to give the sword back to him. I loved that scene: the two of them smart, and cynical and idealistic as well, and finally finally working together:
Yup, awesomeness:
This scene, where GD is getting a room ready for Yi Nok made me flail.
This scene with Yi Nok and Emo Prince was awesome and so...awww, poor Emo Prince.
Yi Nok is there and the scene is SO CUTE:
Adorable shippy MV (note: spoilers for eps 1-18)

Last but not least: OK, boring snoozeworthy Oscars?
If you want me to actually look forward to you again, make them like Filmares, India's equivalent.
The movies might be equally hackish (though way more entertaining) and the thank you speeches equally neutral, but we also get:
1. Dance numbers with glitter and back-up dancers and Bolly music and kitch. If you have production numbers, make them fun and cheesy as all get-out.
2. Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan as hosts, making fun of the industry all evening. And not only are they genuinely funny (unlike the Oscar hosts, restricted, both time-wise and content-wise), I am just gleeful at the thought of two of the biggest Bolly stars hosting this. It's like if Will Smith and Brad Pitt (my random pick of two famous stars) co-hosted the Oscars, and spent the evening picking on their stars, producers, and each other.
Oh, and they mentioned the writers strike, LOL. To quote someone's summary from Bollywood: "They said unlike Hollywood -that was affected by the writer's strike- BW doesn't have a problem with this since 'our writers have been on strike for the last 40 years.'"
