Unspoilery stuff on The Legend (through ep 8)

The Legend has to be the tightest plotted drama I've ever seen in my life. If I didn't know otherwise, for certain, I would definitely assume that it is an adaptation of a book. I can also see why they didn't extend the episode order despite the very high ratings: it would play total havoc with the story to fit more eps in. (Or maybe they'd just go

Just so you know, I am now having to give someone a very detailed explanation of Aoshi/Misao because of this...

I think you should use it as an opportunity to get them into Kenshin :D

But seriously, it really does make me thing of A/M, at least if Aoshi was less 'woe is me I am unworthy and cold.' (I suppose the way he was before the machine-gun thing). It's not super-close, but there is something about it. Maybe because Sujini is very Misao-ish.

From what calixa says, Misai and Sujini do sound similar, though I'm not sure about Aoshi and Legend Guy.

I think the length of Kenshin scares her...

Yeah, Aoshi and Legend Guy are not too similar, except for long hair and mad sword skills, and the whole 'he is her Lord' thing.

BTW, you might like the Wild Ones manga. It's the one I told you about before your trip that's kinda like the alternashipping in Bull Fighting(except the heroine is likable) in that she's a yakuza boss's granddaughter and he's her bodyguard.

I actually checked out the first volume in the store and it did look cute. Not 'hooked on' good, but something that might be fun now and then.

Yeah, pretty much. It's the first romance shojo in a while that hasn't annoyed me(and for once the heroine's spazzing out from time to time makes sense) which is good enough for me.
