So, since I am catching up on my American shows.

Bones, Y/N? I have never seen any.

You know what I like.

Well, it is a procedural. So that could be boring to you. But it is relatively character driven procedural, Bones past issues, Boothe's issues about having been a sniper, the dating side story about two supporting characters and David B. HOT as Boothe and very charming.

And the show is shamelessly in favor of the main couple even if they can't get them together for now. You got the daring dramatic recue where she falls in his arms afterwards because she is so traumatized and he holds her. You got the whole having to pretend to be a couple and wearing sexy clothes to do and he has to box and it's all hot and awesome. And you got the whole "person from the outside ship them and think they are perfect together and even blackmail them into kissing". *For a procedural* the relationship moves fast. But it might still be slow for you.

I say try a few episodes and see if you fall hard for Boothe and his hero complex. If you do, that might make it worth watching for you.

Still, if you are looking for something even more relationship based, I still reccomend La Femme Nikita. Yes, even despite the name :) And if the guy doesn't seem that hot to you at first, believe he makes it up with ridiculous backstory angst. The most fucked up weird romantic episode is where she runs away from the evil spy/terrorist company she is working for. He goes after her. They make love. They decide they have to fake that she was captured and they agree that he has to beat the shit out of her so the cover story will be believable. Or the one where they are on assignment somewhere and have to pose as a porn star couple and it's all messed up and angsty? Did I mention GRAPHIC (at least for normal tv standards) love scenes? Mvid. And their whole relationship is about how he can never acknowledge how he feels at her (and frequently has to trick HER over it) because it will make them vulnerable if the people they are working for knew about them.

Wait even better, kiss/love scene compilation. I was never a huge fan of the series, but I always thought that as a couple they were ... impressive. At least compared to the couples I'm used to on a lot of US tv (well UC tv that isn't soap operas). Where you might have to wait 9 seasons for a kiss and a snuggle. Or be happy if you get like two love scenes in all of the show. Compared to that this is a feast.

Despite the cheeeeesy hair, I think I am sold.

It was the vids, but I think even before that.

You had me at They decide they have to fake that she was captured and they agree that he has to beat the shit out of her so the cover story will be believable.

I am about to netflix this.

LOL, the funny part is I can't even promise you that they are good. I feel like I have seen maybe only 10 episodes of the whole thing (and out of these a bunch of mindblowing Michael/Nikita ones). It's possible that I got lucky and all others suck from a relationship POV.

Worst case scenario maybe you could ask around a REAL LFN fan and ask them which ones the worthwhile shippy episodes are and watch only those :)

Hey, just covering my bases in out "OMG, we are cursed to never enjoy the same thing" thing strikes again :) Still, while the couple impressed me, I was never a dedicated fan of it (so that could be a point in favor) and a lot of times (like that episode) they really gave me this wonderful overwrought romance vibe (I mean that in the positive sense) that I think you might enjoy. Moonlight and Roswell have/had it too. It's kinda hard to explain it. It's kinda the difference between a romance being treated as a side story that sorta exists in addition to the action, romance being a commodity (like on the more soapy shows) and the romance being intentionally overwrought (I'm not even sure if I'm using this word right).

Well, you seem to like Moonlight too.

But yeah, I'll check it out and see.

So, don't the interferences of Moonlight bother you yet? Like Mick's dead and evil Darla like vampire ex and Beth's sorta boyfriend Josh?

Darla-lite hasn't popped up yet, but I know she will and I live in anticipation. Kdrama favorite trope is the lead guy being initially torn between his past, high-maintenance bitchy old love and gradual 'conversion' to the sweet new one, and as Moonlight is kdrama in American clothes, this must happen :)

Re: Josh. He is sweet and nice but:

a. what is an OTP without an OTP interferer (sweet other guy who is just not the heroine's Twu Wuv because she wants the woobie is also a kdrama thing) and
b. I'd care about his feelings but am too busy wanting Beth to ditch him for senior citizen with diatary problems :)
