Romeo & Juliet as steampunk

Oh, everyone.

I have a new anime love. It's Gonzo's stunningly beautiful, swoonily romantic, adventurous and heart-breaking fantasy retelling of Shakespeare's 'Romeo & Juliet' (titled Romeo x Juliet here).

It is so very very pretty (I saw first two eps) and I know there will be oodles of angst (duh :P)

Are you watching any dramas at the moment, btw?

If MG is too slow, try Hana Yori Dango. Much shorter and much faster. And very fun. I like the loooooooong dramas but if you don't, the longer ones might not be your thing.

Yeah, later parts of MG have rather different plot/different events etc. It's a much more faithful adaptation of the manga.

It's funny, because I watched both live actions after the anime, so I knew a large chunk of what was going to happen (anime was done when manga is still running so they came up with their own ending) but I like the story so much, I think I coudl watch the variations ad nauseam.
