meanwhile, It's 10:11 AM, I've been up since 6:42, and I'm just now starting to wake up. Been at work since 7:50...pretty bad.
Good news: Shazam (or Charlie) dropped off my package last night...my DDR ignition pad that I paid 24 bucks for...
bonus! I got 2 pads! sweet! got to play DDR ultramix 2 last night, did rather badly. I like the ignition pad, but I gotta firm it up...it's too soft, I kinda squish into it a bit. Couse, being 200 pounds prolly doesn't help. But I got some ideas, and the 'net helps.
weekend report:
busted ass Thursday morning so I wouldn't have a project sitting over my head while I was out of town. Got everything done by 11, got out of here around 11:45. Hit the road at 1:30 to go to Houston to see the family.
Got in at 11:30 at night.
slept. joyous sleep.
Friday morning, got up and went to the park with my 4 and 7 year old cousins. That was great fun. Found out that my Jake, the 7 year old, is into Transformers, a passion I shared when I was a kid. However, the golden age of "more than meets the eye" has passed, and his idea of transformers is drastically different than mine. I'm afraid to sit down and watch the old Transformers movie with him, for fear that he will look at what I remember as Optimus Prime and call him an imposter.

Meanwhile, after playtime, Erin, my grandmother, and I wend to a couple of malls for shopping... more like walking and carrying stuff. I'm the guy, that's my job. They had fun, that's what counts.
After having The Best Burger Ever at Fuddruckers, (why, oh why don't they have this rock 'n roll themed burger joint in Memphis...hello...Elvis, anyone?) we went and relaxed a bit with the family. Good times.

Saturday--- Erin and I go to a fantibulous store called IKEA, where the housewares are Cheap. They've got everything, including kitchen sinks in there. Nice place to spend a bunch and actually feel like you got your money's worth.
After getting suitably lost in downtown Houston, courtesy of my Aunt and construction, we get back to my aunt's house, where my cousing proceeds to get me to beat this level of Star Wars: Clone Wars on the Gamecube for him. From then on he was amazed by the fact that I beat it. It takes so little to please a kid....I love it. anyway, after that it was onto the Grandparents for dinner and Christmas...since we were there to give our presents away

I scored with a WACOM, a good star wars book, and an excellent "How to draw Manga" book, which is substantially better that the "how to draw" series you typically find in bookstores. My Granddad is a big peruser of Amazon, so he finds different books. I got some other stuff, like a couple of CDs, and a copy of Spiderman 2. Erin got a sewing kit full of stuff, since my grandmother does that too, so she was happy to share some hints and stuff.
then: blissful sleep again
I mention sleep because I typically get 4 to 5 hours a night, so it's nice to get a few days in a row where I actually get 8 or so
sunday....
suckage. Because I have to leave. We visit a little longer, pack up, and go. We have to go back to the mall, becuase what we got for my Mother, Erin wound up liking and keeping, so we had to get another one.
drive home....blehhhhhh
monday. Have to work. extremely busy day.
get home, have my DDR pad, get to play DDR in my house! woot!
