Playing around with Dolphin: dumped Momo's texture, ran it thru a Scale2x filter and reloaded the texture. I definitely need access to the HQ2x filter instead. Found it through the wonders that is the
web archive. Will get to it once I'm back home.
If I'm in a crazier mood, I will hand-draw a higher res version, and perhaps fix those legs of her which I find too skinny to my artistic taste.

The animation technique is mostly unchanged from the Princess Crown days (with probably the addition of texture-warping for some characters), which somehow makes that predecessor game even more stunning. Because Princess Crown in motion doesn't look like it's using textures but more like a proper pixel-art sprite.
