Inauguration/Change
I think the Daily Show and Colbert will be less funny now, but still funny.
Yeah, I like the sappy song, I LIKE the beautiful symbolism and it's going to be better, but from where we are now, that's a long long way from great. It's not going to be this all of a sudden THING that makes everything the way it should be. Change for US? Aside from the symbolic? On a national level? We won't FEEL that for a long time (if)- and he's still going to disappoint us sometimes. He already has me at points. He IS just a guy, he's just a politician, a good one- but that's what he is. I think he's great, but he's certainly not some second coming. I don't see a lot of people running out on Wednesday to PUT AWAY CHILDISH THINGS and be OF SERVICE TO ONE ANOTHER- just their own, or just how they've ever been. So I have a kind of mixed feeling about tomorrow and such. Or it's simply that I always see the big picture.
