London's Calling....
Ok, so its Wednesday. Which means its the last practice before London. Which means we have not more time left to learn anything new. Which means we'll be playing possibly 4 other teams. Which means I'm more than slightly shitting my pants!
I cannot believe how quickly the time has flown by. I'm staying in Glasgow tomorrow night at Hab's house so I'm hoping to get all packed up tonight after practice. I want to see Fergus again before I go, but our time together last night was more than worth it :)
I must remember all my stuff!! I'm notoriously bad for forgetting some of the most important things like, knickers, comfortable shoes, camera and chargers! I'm a relatively light packer (this may well be a big fat lie!) and am aiming to have it all fit in the one bag! Skates n all!
This should be an amazing experience for Auld Reekie though. Since starting Roller Derby we have come a long LONG way and I for one am really looking forward to learning even more! The London Girls as sweet as anything and the most amazing skaters in Europe! I really hope I get to meet the Stuggart Valley Rollers and the Berlin Bombshells :) Berlin Girls really look like they know how to party. I miss Germany and have wanted to go back for a while but it would be even better if I got to play some Derby whilst there!!
Oh, my college application was received!! Can't remember if I mentioned before....and I've had a big response to me queries of volunteering for the Forestry Commission and an Edinburgh based 'Green Team'. It's making me feel really positive about the choices I've been making of late.
Well...wish us luck for the tournament, for I doubt I'll make it on here again until I'm back from Roll Britannia!!
