For those of you who think high schoolers are not old enough to be political aware or not responsible to vote you should read this LJ post:

Young or old, we're all part of the future of America. So get out and vote. I don't care if you vote Republican or Democrat, just do it. And do me a favor, not try to sell you party or start mud slinging. Share your political opinion but know that it is YOUR OPINION. If you feel the government is lacking get off your ass and change it, stop blaming others. And if you really can't stand it, move. I heard Canada ain't so bad and it's an option that I may even take. But in the mean time ensure that the person in office is represented but the majority of America's citizens (as for the electoral college, well, screw the electoral college). There's nothing more annoying than someone who complains about their leader when they never voted either way.
