I love when things I am dreading unexpectedly go well.
So I was dangerously near a break down after school over my audition. My plan of memorizing was failing miserably and I knew it was really good monologue, so I wanted it to show my best work. I mean, it better be a good monologue after my weeks of searching! So anyway, I worked and worked afterschool and by my audition time, I still wasn't memorized. So after freaking out in the hall to Janell for a few moments, I went into my audition and acted as confident as possible. I was very careful not to apologize and I managed pretty well. They laughed, and when I was done, Ms. Jessen was still laughing, Janell was smiling, and Judy was just staring at me. It turns out she absolutely loved it and told me it fit me really well and she was very impressed by my growth. She liked it so much, she wants me to reconsider ARTS! Well, that's the best an audition has ever gone for me and I am really proud of my choice.
I would also like to thank the many people who did so much to help me from finding and choosing a monologue, to help with memorization and coaching. I surely couldn't have succeeded without you :)
And now I'm home and have little that I have to do and I have all my favorite classes tomorrow! What a wonderful end to a stressful day.
How's everyone else doing??
