The title of this post refers to current events and not me personally; although I did attempt to volunteer for the Red Cross last week, I didn't get the information I needed before I had to devote all my time to packing for school

those are the best friendships--you just have to be careful that it doesn't get beyond a certain boundary: i've seen gay male/straight female relationships go very wrong in the past. It sounds like this one is still very healthy, though, and I'm glad that you have that. I personally think that every straight girl should be issued a gay boy starting at age 13 *grin* it just might help make society a better place.

Yeah, that's a good point, and I am well aware of that possibility. I don't think it will come to that in this case because I only get to see her a few specific times a year, which hopefully leaves insufficient time to move so close as to cross the boundary.
