One thing the Germans really like saying is 'shit.' Maybe it's part of their when-in-Rome philosophy. I sense that they see the American lifestyle as eating greasy, fattening fast food; having affairs with their automobiles; and cussing at every moment's opportunity. Which might just about nail it. I just wish they had some other bad words in ( Read more... )

the important thing is that you DID go after something new; that you transcended the ordinary in your everyday life. Not that you always have to do that, but it does create the seed for growth later. I'm sorry it didn't turn out to be fun the whole time. Good for you.

Added you so you can read my entries-haven't really written anything in a while, but yeah. :)

I liked your last entry to be honest.. that was the most fun I've had in a group like that as well... It's incredibly nice to play with people who are not only talented, but relaxed and just plain FUN. ;) I'm glad you were able to come play with us..!! ((Sorry I didn't go on the bus tour...I'll most likely be at the concert tonight..and of course SIXFLAGS!!))

Thanks, Tiff. As I said, I'm just happy to be there. Oh, and sorry about writing about you lacking confidence in your playing or whatever. I think I wrote that the day you said something about never practicing...But rest assured, I think you're a terrific player.

I'm not a "terrific player" and I get the picture. I suck, I already knew that in the first place.

Get what picture? Certainly not my picture of your playing. I wrote that you lack confidence, but still hold your own. And your comment exactly supports that. Plus I think you are doing just fine on the Eb part.

I appreciate your trying to be humble, but this is not humility; it's self-depreciation. And I don't see how writing that you suck helps improve your situation. The only thing an 'I suck' will get you is alienation from members of your fan club, myself included.

It's great to hear from you again, sounds like a good time in spite of this. And at least you went for it, nobody can blame you for that.
