The best thing about the new year ending: No longer do I have to write out "2005" on checks all the time. My fives tend to look like S's, and I hate that.

You mean, you won't continue to write "2005" well into April, like me? :-P

Happy New Year!

Well spit my knickers and call me Wendell! YOU'RE ALIVE!

And no, I'm not attached to "2005." :P

Happy New Year! :)

YOU'RE ALIVE!

The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Also, one of my new year's resolutions is to actually keep in touch with my online friends and communities. More often than, say, once every 4 months or so. Eh, here's hoping.

Working your butt off, are ya?

You're doing a fine job so far on this first day of the year. :) But resolutions are made to be broken, so... ;P I expect an indication of a heartbeat in your journal every once in a while, so here's to hoping!

Indeed. My office has been down 2 people for a while now, and considering there were only 6 of us to begin with, it's made things absolutely nuts. I also recently acquired a shiny new apartment of my own, and a nasty case of bronchitis. So, yes, my butt has been busy. Hope things have been going well with you!

Congrats on the new apartment! Lots of personal space is always a good thing. :) Sorry to hear about your bronchitis. Are you feeling okay? I've also been sick off and on with probably bronchitis (I say "probably" because I never went to the doctor). Seems to be making the rounds with a lot of people lately! Are you shorthanded at the office because of the plague?

As for me, things are pretty much the same. I'm just continuing to drift through the infinite abyss. :P

Yeah, it's just about gone and I'm back at work. The timing really sucked, though, because it started the week before Christmas, and of course I still had tons of shopping, wrapping, and baking to finish. I ended up not baking, since nobody would have wanted my germy pleghmy cookies anyway. :-P

I've also been sick off and on with probably bronchitis (I say "probably" because I never went to the doctor).

Argh, how can you put up with that without seeing a doctor? Or more specifically, without those glorious, glorious drugs a doctor can provide? ;-) I barely lasted 2 days before I dragged my butt off to the clinic.

Are you shorthanded at the office because of the plague?Surprisingly, no - one coworker gave birth last week, and the other just lost her mother after a long illness. They've both been gone several weeks already (and of course, the new mom won't be back for quite a while!) Of course, there are ( ... )

When you're stubborn, you can put up with a lot of things. ;) I coughed up a lung, slept 20 hours a day, and even got sent home from work two times, but I refused to see a doctor. I didn't think it was bad enough to warrant a visit. The cough is gone for the most part, but still comes back now and then, so if it's still here in the next two months, then it may necessitate some medical intervention. :P

Of course, there are advantages to this - such as being the only one left in the office, leaving me free to post lengthy LJ comments instead of doing actual work. Whee!

Wow, you sure make productive use of your time! ;) Does that mean you're working five days a week now with only weekends off?
