Girlfriends = Good Luck
I am in love with the most wonderful woman. I visited her this past weekend, and it was amazing. I'd almost forgotten what it felt like to enjoy rather than tolerate the simple times in life. Grocery shopping, cooking, trying to find something to watch on television when between activities--all of these are so much greater when you're with the person you love.
Oddly enough, this week has been my best since arriving at A&M. On Tuesday, I received the grade of my final mid-term which was another A, my boss told me not to worry about hours, and I found a flight for her to come visit in November that both fits her schedule perfectly and was even cheaper than the flights I just took. Yesterday, my first class was canceled which allowed me to finish my summaries due in the afternoon, and the professor for my night class offered me another small scholarship to help with the Sustainable Urbanism program. This is also the first weekend I have had since starting grad school which isn't followed by a major assignment the next week.
Therefore, I am forced to conclude that visiting my girlfriend must bring me good luck.
