seriously!
i bought a new (sunbeam) iron in july,when the one i had before died. (it was a hand me down from my mom and i'd had it for years. well, it started sparking and i got a new one. in july.) well, last month my new one it died! so i bought a new (hamilton beach) one. and guess what happened tonight? it died! i had put on the office on dvd, had my jammies on, sat down to iron some interfacing on, and bam. it wouldn't turn on. it started being weird yesterday.
i'm not abusing these irons. and i don't expect a $30 iron to last forever. but more than a few months would be nice! after the second one died i was thinking maybe it was the outlet (even though i tested the first dead one on more than one outlet.) but nope, both were dead on several outlets. grrrr. so at 10pm (and with a craft fair in 4 days) what am i to do? go to meijer and buy yet another iron. (another sunbeam.) the third new iron since july. grrrrr. these 2 new irons have auto off. you put it on off but it waits an hour before it shuts the power off totally. and i don't like leaving it on all the time, or especially when i leave, so i just switch it to off and unplug it. is it all the unplugging i'm doing?? i feel like a crazy person! and it's not just because i'm insane with craft fair preps and last minute things to do!
