everything hits at once
Hey LJ!
I figured i'd throw in a little life update care of daylight savings and six hours of sleep and all that.
The weather has been warming up here for the past two days, and it gets me so excited to think of spring. I hate winter so much, and any hint of weather about 50 degrees is always welcome.
With that in mind i'm already getting excited for the pitchfork festival. I like the bands they announced so far, so I'm hoping it only gets better for the rest of the festival. We'll see.
As far as life goes, i guess pretty okay. I went out to evanston last night to see some friends I haven't seen since new years. We went to some party that the kids who write on the northwestern newspaper were throwing, and it was pretty hilariously awkward, so we bailed on that very fast. But then we went to some bar and it was redeemed by good conversation and watching nick and nicole get drunker while I stayed sober (had to drive home and all.)
When I was driving the hour ride home I kept thinking about how I wanted to write a great live journal update about how Modest Mouse is such good driving music, because i listened to the lonesome crowded west on the drive up and then this is a long drive for someone... on the drive home. Both were pretty much perfect. Anyway I kept thinking about how it would be cool if i had jus kept driving, and how the roads were so empty and perfect and it was just neat.
Then as I got closer to home I was so glad I didn't have to drive forever cause shit I was tired.
I haven't been out that late in such a long time. I got home about 2:30, which was REALLY 3:30 because of daylight savings. whoa Dan.
But yeah, fairly fun night, and it was nice to see some friends. Now i just have to write 2 papers over the next 3 days and I should be IN THE CLEAR for spring break.
