Whooo-whee! Its been a long ass week. But a decent one. My loan check came in on Monday and I've been spending that money like nobody's business. And all of my bills are up to date and/or paid off. And that feels INCREDIBLE. Seriously. The loan will be a pain to pay off later, but the need was too great not to take it out. I've covered my ass very well. I still feel guilt when I spend money since I've been so stingy with my money, but with my bills paid off, I've got room to move. I gave myself some extra money so I can build up my bank account.
I've changed banks- I switched to Chase/Bank One and so far I am pretty happy with the banking. I'm waiting on my checks and my credit and debt cards. I used all the free checks they gave me (for rent, two outstanding smaller bills, for Buddha, Finishline for new shoes, and for all three bookstores when I got books). I paid off my debt to Ball State FCU and shut down that account. I won't have to worry about overage charges at Chase like I would with BSFCU- if there isn't enough money in my account, it will be charged to my credit card. That way the bill gets paid and I don't lose money. I'll be honest, that's what sold me on the account in the first place.
Spending wise outside of the bills and such comes from my paycheck. I got a huge check this go around ($244, it was amazing- I wasn't expecting that much) and I kept $120 for spending money. Plus I had money left over from the check my grandma sent me and I got $5 back when I close my accounts at BSFCU. I've still got a decent amount of it left, but I did spend a bit today. I bought a really neat looking skirt and a zip up sweater from Kohls and a backpack and new socks from TJ Maxx. I was torn on getting the backpack since I had spent nearly $40 at Kohls. I knew I needed to get a real backpack, doctor's order (yeah that pesty costocondritis is still rearing its ugly head), but I was still feeling pre buyer's guilt. But I'm fine now and I still have pleny enough to a small trip to Aldi's this weekend. Plus I should fill my car up. Gas is $2.30 down here. I never thought I'd live to see it that low again.
School is going okay. Not tired of it yet, but then again, we're only going into week 5. I'll give myself another week before I go all ADD again. I've done some prelim research for my research papers (go me) and while I'm not completely up on the reading (go fig), I'm still holding my own in class discussions, which is nice.
I am so tired. My sleeping habits are outta whack this week hardcore. I kept getting headaches while Autumn and I were out shopping because of the lights, the sounds, and thinking too hard. Plus Autumn tends to move in circles, so yeah, that doesn't help. My happy ass is off to bed. later y'all.
