too much TV

TNT might pick up Southland. Or at the least, NBC is willing to sell it to another network.

They had me worried with Chevy Chase, but I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Not so pleased with the depiction of community colleges. However, Troy and Abed's scenes at the end of every episode are made of joy.

There's a second part to this troll crap? Fuck. Hey guys, you've already done Scary Woman Seduces Clueless Pendragon. And if we're really gonna drag this out to two episodes, can we please have a scene in which Morgana and Arthur make fun of their besotted dad?

I did, however, like the guest actress (congratulations on those boobs, wow), shirtless!writhing!Arthur, and Colin's new sexaay approach to magic. I'd really like to see a srs bzns vid about the combo of Merlin's ego, frustration, and potentially frightening power.

As frustrating as this show is, one thing this episode highlighted for me is how much the show suffers from Eliza Dushku's acting. Because until Sierra got back in that chair to be brainwashed (WTF?!), I was really into the story, for once.

Didn't hurt that the ickfest that is Paul was absent either.

Wow. Okay, I watched it because Matt Bomer is pretty and because the source looked fun--all those swoopy shots like Leverage (and isn't that a crossover waiting to happen.) But I was surprised how much I loved the pilot. Mark Sheppard! Is he gunning for longest imdb.com page ever or something?

But I have a moral dilemma: Neal and Peter are obviously meant to be slashed, but Peter's married. And sure, there's already an OT3 vibe, but the adultery factor makes me uncomfortable. Apparently I'm fine with fraternal incest, RPS, and vampire porn, but I draw the line at cheating on your wife. Well, it's nice that I do still have boundaries.

White Collar is on Hulu  (get it while it's still free). And USA is rerunning it like mad. *nudge, nudge*

ETA: Okay, I'm not drunk, really, but I can't type html tonight for shit. I'm just gonna give up on asking LJ to let me fix that White Collar cut tag.

tv, merlin, community, white collar
