As some may remember, I made a Dark Angel vid for Milly for Festivids last year, using Calm's "Treat Me Like a Villain." Earlier this week, I got this comment on that vid:

That's awesome! And, it wouldn't be the first time the artist complimented a video, so I think it's very likely to be legit.

Yeah, considering that googling the song results in the Festivids post on the first page, it's not unthinkable. I was just so surprised.

Now I'm imagining him watching all the other Festivids. :D

I think this happens more and more now, particularly with independent/lesser known artists. I've also heard from some people who had actors comment on vids about their character (but also normally supporting roles/small shows).

Yeah, I remember the actress who plays Merlin's mom commenting on one of Milly's vids. It's awesome in a slightly scary, broken fourth wall kind of way.

I had an artist comment on YT to say thanks for using their song in a vid, and you're right: it's both unsettling and flattering!
