Oh, you know. The content was self indulgent and Wossy is a tit and it was a bit unfunny, but it's hardly newsworthy, is it? Seems a bit stupid if you ask me. Good old Daily Mail, sensationalising nothing much for the lowest common denominator.

Shame he's quit though. Where will we get our sexualised revolutionary fervour now?

On a personal note, it has completely kiboshed my plans to lurk around Gildea St of a Saturday night. Now I'll have to venture to the Heath :-P

If only you could stay on and come see Russell down our road when he's here in January. I'm so pleased we're seeing him now, the boy needs a hug.

I do hope the Mail readers have enjoyed whipping themselves into a week-long state of frothing excitement. I bet they're all quivering gently in post-orgasmic self-righteousness right now.

Ta for the transcript. I've got the podcast on iTunes, but have yet to get round to transferring it to the pod.

I am so angered by the whole thing. And learning today that when it was initially broadcast there were only 2 complaints and they were about the use of the F word and not content. Some days later there are now 27,000 complaints. This is why I hate the general public. Sachs himself said he doesn't want to take it any further and has accepted their apologies. But it can't be said for his 'virgin white' grand daughter.

Poor Sachs, the shame Brand and Ross have brought on him...the Satanic Sluts on the other hand, nothing but pride.

I'm really starting to think the only person who comes out of this well is Andrew Sachs. He seems remarkably sane. And I do think Russell was sincere in his apology and resignation. I miss my fave radio shows, I'm pissed off by the ridiculous media reaction and the stupid public bandwagon-jumping. It can't be nice to be vilified to that extent when you were just intending to have a bit of a laugh. On the other hand, I've always preferred my Russ and J-Ro when they're not being idiots. (Also, I can't help thinking they're probably going to be ok ( ... )

I didn't see anything as sexually humiliating in the broadcast. Ross brought up the incident and Brand then turned it into a "God I bet you hate the fact that your granddaughter has been with someone like me".

Georgina also leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. I would never go as far to say "the slut deserved it", she didn't actually get any bad press out of this anyway. I think that Russell actually (and this may sound strange) has the utmost respect for most people. And his comedy is a way of showing affection. This is merely a theory. We'll ask him about it in January.

Both of them will be fine, Ross will be back in the new year with his tail between his legs and Russell always has Channel 4 (did you see Ponderland, it was great?).
