using this baby like a daily log for once
twas a good day. first off, i babysat a 7 year old boy for about 6 hours of race cars, robot warriors, darth vader, and power rangers (kids are fantastic) and made a whopping $50. hold the phone! that sorta money is not easy for me to come by so that was nice.
moving on, after a series of pesky/comical setbacks, the next stop was the city of philadelphia where yianni and i chilled out in his kitchen, eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and listening to the slits. to be followed by more conversing and cd listening into the night. not to mention the formation of a found objects band in which i played the bicycle pump. all in all, a quality time.
back in jersey, meg calls me at 12:30 at night( a lil late i think), informing me that she and friends, specifically, cass, lee, and ryan, are outside my house. a pleasant surprise. so we rocked on over to the hollybrook diner where we drank cups of coffee and tea like it was our job and chatted like friends often do. and that was it: a day well spent and a reminder of the magic of simplicity.
