Great weekend this was. It kind of started early in that I was at Ryan's on Thursday. We watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and then we caught the latter half of Tora Tora Tora on TV. Both excellent movies. After work on Friday, I hung out at Maho's. Took my projector over there and he had April over and she brought her 360. So we had the TV, Maho's 360, my projector and April's 360. The plan was to hook both up and play Halo 3 on both. But she forgot her Halo 3 so it turned out to be Halo 3 on the projector and not much on the TV.

Slept over there and went to see Beowulf on Saturday morning. It was pretty good. I may buy it on DVD (or preferably BD) if it gets cheap sometime, but other than that, not really good enough for that. We got in for free though. Connections~

Got a call from Bill before the movie that I needed to pick him up for D&D/LAN party. So instead of having time to prepare, I went right to get him after the movie, at around 2PM. Got him picked up and his computer loaded in my car and went home to pick up my D&D books. Then we went to pick up Chris who brought a whole damn suitcase plus his monitor and stuff. So it was 3 guys and 2 computers in my Camaro. Good thing I have a laptop and they have LCD monitors because there would have been no way to do it otherwise. Chris and Bill both had no leg room. I wanted to take a picture of the car loaded up with them but I didn't have a decent camera.

We played D&D for a bit under 4 hours then moved onto D&D online. D&D online sucks if you ask me. We got trial accounts 'cause Bill plays and wanted us to try it. It's much worse than WoW in my opinion, and I don't like or play WoW these days. I don't like the levelling system (not that D&Ds is better, but they modified it for D&D online and made it much worse). And I like regular D&D because it gives us absolute control of what we want to do. We can do more classes and we can make up stuff or get third-party materials if we're not satisfied with the official stuff. D&D Online is really boring.

We also played Rune, an older game based on the first Unreal engine. But you have like axes and swords and hammers and you go around bashing/cutting each other with those. It's actually a LOT more fun than any shooter in my opinion. I'd never played it before, and the graphics aren't great considering its age, but damn, I'll take that over any shooter any day. I'd like them to make a new one with better graphics.

We thought we'd be staying 'til well into Sunday at the LAN, but Will told us at like 2AM that we needed to be out before it got light. We ended up leaving around 6. I took Chris home and I didn't want to drive Bill home (about an hour round trip for me) so we went back to my house and slept 'til around noon. We watched some Bullshit after then went to eat and then went back to his place and played some D&D Online. Fun. I probably won't be playing D&D Online again.

Good weekend. Now I get to follow it up with a trip to the dentist tomorrow morning. Not only that, but the dentist is ~70 miles from me.
