Malone.

We brought Kati to Malone. It wasn't a bad ride, she was really excited the whole time and it actually went by pretty quick. She videotaped a lot of it.

The way home was kind of interesting. I decided that I wanted to take the back way through Standish, etc.. Well at the gas station in Lyon Mountain I asked Linz if she wanted to drive. So she did. As soon as we got on the Standish road it started to snow like crazy. The roads were really slushy and slippery, but I didn't really think it would be a problem since we were driving 25 mph. Well we came to a slight corner. There was a ravine on the right hand side with a stream at the bottom, and no guard rail or anything to keep a car from careening off the road and ending up submerged in the water below. Lindsey doesn't have too much experience driving in bad weather apparently, but it wasn't really her fault when the car happened to catch the shoulder of the road and was pulled off into the dirt on the side. She kind of freaked out and I had to grab the wheel and try to keep the car straight, while trying to ease it back on the road. Maybe if I was in the drivers seat I could have done this, but she slammed on the brakes so the car just slid off the road, ending up perched on the edge of the ravine only a few feet from disaster. Immediately after this happened two trucks stopped. One was a redneck guy wearing what appeared to be a coonskin hat. Help wasn't needed though since we backed out alright and there was no damage to the car. It was a scary incident though and we were lucky to not have taken a little swim. I drove from there on.

Anyways thats all that happened that was of any interest.
