[ the stairway leads to a small parlor. Much like the rest of the house it's old and elegant, unlike the scene downstairs it is spotless. There is a small table with one chair in the center of the room. On the table is a tea set along with some small crustless sandwiches.

The Monsieur himself sits in a chair near the wall. He is slouched, and if you are observant you can see the fine cracks in the mask he wears. ]
