fifteen minutes before lunch and this is what came up

i awoke, finding myself seated in a circle of people on an outside patio deck--a meeting of sorts. My mouth was already in the process of sounding off the names of those to my right. there were people i recognized but gave names of those that their bodies should not have possessed. to my left, people began introducing themselves on their own accord.

the shared common courtesy was disrupted by a young male wearing a white, short-sleeved shirt. standing in the middle of the circle...he didn't really seem to be standing still at all but constantly bouncing. approaching him, i lifted his shirt just above his chest only to find a large picture projected from within his skin, slightly tinted bronze gold and followed the texture of his skin. he noticed the subtle surprise on my face and aided my hands to further this shirt above his shoulders to find a collage of pictures that were imprinted on his skin. running the pads of my fingers from the base of his collarbone to the upper tip of his pelvis, over every framed shot of unpossessed memories. and with each passing touch the frame would light up; his skin warming.

i did this with every picture, finally letting his shirt fall back into place. we looked at each other in an understanding of which is lost to me now. i hugged him at his waist, pressing the side of my face against his chest and disappeared into consciousness.
