So, profession critics ranked the best/worst 5 korean stars?
First off, this is going to be [as much as possible], rational. This is all my honest opinion, and I could care less if you disagree with me.
BoA. First seems a tad bit too much, but debuting at 14 and continuing to dish out music ten years later is pretty impressive. Arguably SM's involvement as a stronghold for funds towards promotion and training stands true, but BoA herself is nothing shabby at all. Dancing and singing wise, she's actually not that bad.
ONTO THE BUTT HURT VIPS AND DBSK FANS.
Okay, face it. DBSK isn't that great. Fuck I never really understood why they were SO FUCKING POPULAR. Keyword, WERE. Seeing all this shit about DBSK being the best and all that crap, um no. Just no.
Bigbang as well, they're quite literally 5 individuals, and I seldom get the feeling of a 'team' from them. Considering how they're a group and group dynamics should be an important role, and that being visibly absent, I never supported Big Bang. On the other hand, with the lacking group dynamics come AMAZING MUSIC. Amazing. Haru Haru and Lies were AMAZING. Music-wise. Vocals, not so much.
Big Bang has pretty weak vocals IMO, and it just doesn't match up with the amazing music they have.
SNSD. I will comment later.
OH LOOK. SUPER JUNIOR. On the worst list.
As much of a DIEHARD SUJU fan that I am/was, I gotta admit it's kinda true for me. They never really did live up to their popularity. Reading this really makes me think back and look into what SuperJunior has.
""dividing listeners into those that can memorize their names, and those that cannot. Critics regarded Super Junior as being nothing other than a bandwagon-type group with skills that fall short of the rising level of expectations""
As rude as that first bit sounds, I can't help but agree to the general premise of this part. It just, there's just this thing with them that makes me feel like they've plateu'd already.
Being honest, Bonamana had AWFUL choreography. Simply fucking awful. Concept wasn't that good either, I totally disliked their whole 'sexy/stripper/excessive touching' concept. DNW. Don't WANT. and No Other was fucking BORING AS FUCK. Yeah, the MV was full of adorables, but the dance was just... bleh. The song itself is boring, REALLY boring. After the quality of Sorry Sorry and It's You, Bonamana and No Other just doesn't hold it up for me personally.
""Super Junior is an unfortunate group that just isn’t able to live up to the level of their popularity""
By unfortunate, I hope the critics are referring to the Kibum/Kangin/Hangeng incidents? But sitting back and thinking, their personalities shine on stage (mind you, there's a fucking camera there). I mean, it just doesn't click with me how they're that popular. Their voices aren't exactly all around spectacular (minus the KRY, but yeah) and their dancing isn't all around that good either.
Considering how they're a veteran group, you would think that they would improve more and show greater changes. But no, I actually haven't seen that whatsoever. Moreover, SM isn't helping by being atrocious with the designation of parts. I've ranted way too much on that, but really, SM and Suju haven't been showing ME a lot of good changes.
SNSD. My girls. My bias girl group.
Definately not second.
But I mean, they have some talent. Not gonna comment on the SNSD-WG competition.
SNSD needs less hate. That is all. I was once an avid anti towards SNSD, but after a while I grew to appreciate them. Gee's rampage on MuBank deserves some credit... and my head hurts now.
To be honest, I don't know who I should place as first, but all around this article made me reflect a lot on Super Junior, and now I'm glad that I chose to leave the ELF fandom.
Totally sitting back and laughing at the butthurt DBSK and Suju fans complaining how DBSK isnt number one and SUJU is in top 5. LMAO~ing for a while.
