I was surfing the interwebs when I came across this chart and reminded me of a discussion I had with my buddy.
It pretty much baffles me why people even lock their doors. It's supposed to be joke, but seriously? Have you ever heard of a robber that was caught DUE to a locked door?
'A robber was caught today after not being able to get through a locked door...luckily people lock their doors.'
I mean houses in general; offices and buildings, shops etc, I can all understand. But, houses seem pointless. I wish I had the money where I could rent out a place as an experiment, leave it unlocked and completely empty but I'll leave a 20 dollar bill within two seconds of opening door. So if I were to visit it the next year, and the bill was gone, I would know I was robbed.
I'd do it at my place, but my mom wouldn't have it. It's probably because she watches the news so damn often. I hate the news by the way, it makes people so pessimistic when statistically speaking it's irrational for people to act the way they do.
Homicide makes up less than one percent of all deaths. Accidents makes up five percent. What does that tell you?
People are more irresponsible then they are 'evil'.
God, I hate the news.
You know how many good things happen but are never shown? Media doesn't air good news, instead they air joke segments and filler segments, until somebody is killed.
I ain't being optimistic, just a realist.
