Tucson
So, here I am in AZ. I love it.
The city is very cool, I really like it. It's very spread out, not at all what you would think of when you hear city. I am staying at Lu and Josh's, they bought a really cool little house. This week has gone by so fast!
I've driven all around the city and seen a lot of different type of people. Not as many Mexicans as I though there would be, actually. Lots of white trash, though.
We have Sonic here in Tucson. And Jack in the Box. I have eaten like it's my job. And there are Trader Joe's all over the place.
Went to the movies the other night and saw "The Illusionist" and it waS AMAZING. Seriously, go see it, you will not be dissapointed. PLUS Philip Glass wrote all of the music, which was also amazing.
Went to Mexico on Saturday. It was...alright. Kind of depressing, really crowded. But I did just goa little while into the country, like, not too far down. Nogales is the name of the city. Ate bangin' Mexican food and had a HUGE margarita. yum.
Lu is pregnant, which is fun. Poor thing has been so sick the past two days. Yesterday, we were going to have a Labor Day picnic after the boys (Josh, John and John) got back from hiking, but she just felt so gross and there was a Monsoon (which is normal here).
I am about to get a job at Wells Fargo bank, which means I will have my own address by this time next week (if all goes well).
I miss my family SO much it's sad times. But I talk to them everyday and they keep me abreast of what is going down in MD.
I haven't called people or returned phone calls because I am still adjusting. I need some time to get used to the fact that I am living in a brand new place. Selfish of me? So what. For once in my life I am doing something for JUST me.
