The Rise of Fall

Oct 05, 2007 14:05

So far my Autumn is missing something. That's right, any trace of Autumn. In these drought conditions the leaves do not turn to amber; they fall listlessly from the trees a dried, sickly green. The "chill in the air" to which I so look forward has been supplanted - nay - usurped by that most dreadful of all conditions: mugginess. The Mugg, seen below disrupting my Fall.

The shapes create a dizzying illusion that calls to mind the nausea I feel when I step outside into humid, 90 degree weather in the middle of October.  The desaturated center is devoid of color just as my spirit is devoid of hope for a chilling Fall.
