You HAVE got to be kidding me!!!
So last night I went out with Theresa who I haven't seen in way too long(we are awful when we are together we GOSSIP and laugh and make fun of people and its a great time! and I can always be myself 110% with her)anyway we went out to a movie-Dukes of Hazard didn't think I would say this BUT DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!- and we decided to go get coffee afterwards to continue catching up. So I call home just to be nice (first mistake)and my step dad answered the phone and this was our conversation
Step dad:'where are you' 'do you know what time it is?'
Me: 'I was just calling to let you know the movie is done and we are going out for coffee'
Step Dad: "Why do you need to do that"
Me: " I havent seen her since I left Bloomington..(cuts me off)
Step Dad: "What time is it?"
Me:"Umm...10:30ish"
Step Dad: "And what time can I expect you to come home?"
Me: ....
Step Dad: "The world doesn't revolve around you Lindsey"
Me: "I know that, thank you! What time do you need me home"
Step Dad: "Before your curfew"
Me: (trying to figure out if he is kidding) "And that would be..."
Step Dad: "What has it always been?"
Me: "It was midnight when..."
Step dad: "There you go, hasn't changed any"
Me: "Are you kidding me?"
Step dad: yells "don't make me threaten you!"
UGH THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!! So I got home with five minutes to spare and poor Theresa had to hear the whole thing and was paranoid about me getting in trouble. Last time I checked I was almost 21 I think I am the only 21 year old who has a curfew. This is crazy. I can't wait till school starts and i'm working b/c then I don't have to deal with him at all! But speaking of 21 I have no idea what the fuck I'm supposed to do for my birthday. It isn't like if you live at campus and don't have to worry about your parents(but nope i do!!) Don't get me wrong I actually like living at home most of the time its just these little moments that make me wish I could move out, but oh yea I kind of can't afford it) SHEESH!!!!!!! WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO!!!
