I saw Dangerous Liaisons yesterday! I didn't know there was a movie version of it w/ that title as well. So Valmont, Dangerous Liaisons, and Cruel Intentions. They are all remarkably similar, with Cruel Intentions being the most altered.
I'm watching Phantom now. Of course!
Had a dream last night thst I was in school at my new apartment and that I got a call from an old friend. Interestingly enough it was the friend who wanted to converse, and not I who had inlisted them to do so.
I was looking up my favorite movie in IMDb and I found that there are QUITE a few versions out there! All include murder. In some the Phantom was raised by sewer rats, others he killed someone and in the struggle was splashed with acid (most vesions involve some form or another of acid), another he had an altercations with someone who stole his life's work. There is even a Brasilian version, which I am more than interested in viewing. I dunno which version is true to Andrew Lloyd Webster and which is true to Gaston Leroux.
In any occasion, I should like to view all versions as well as to read Gaston Leroux's and Andrew Lloyd Webber's versions. I'm very anxious to read an omnicient (spl?) version so that I may understnad what happened with Chrsitine. She went willingly into the catacombs, yet still spoke of an Angle of Music even after obviously having seen the Phantom. And her kindness? So fickle. Did she love him? Did she hate him? At which points? So confusing!
New obsession perhaps? ;)
Hey Kim, ya up for a loooong movie-night???? =D
