As I was coming home from a doctor's appointment and bout of errand running, a doe and her little spotted fawn crossed the road in front of me, less than a quarter mile from my house. They must have been on their way down to the little creek for a drink--it's certainly a thirsty day! Whatever the reason, though, it was an enchanting sight.

I wish my encounter with deer last weekend had been so nice... I hit one. I don't think I killed it - it got up and ran like the wind into the woods but my car is very sad. :(

BTW, I have a new blog here; http://jilly-bear.blogspot.com/ come on over and check me out. I have decided that LJ is down more than it's up lately and I cant go a week without blogging so I have started a new one over there. I will check back in here and hope I can get these blogs transfered over (I have over 10 years worth that I don't want to loose!).
