So at 6 in the morning the power went out. Why? Because a main generator in one of the dining areas blew out, caused a fire, and made basically the entire campus lose power. Most of the campus got power back pretty quickly, but of course, my dorm was the last to get it back. We just did now and its amazing. It was kind of fun just hanging out, but the darkness got annoying. And also, the building where the fire was is the student union, which has all of the campus's food. Not good. They provided some sort of food in one of the other buildings, but my friends and I decided to play it safe and get delivery. The thing that makes this whole thing funny though is that today was the junior open house. I'm sure all of those kids and parents were thrilled to be here the day of a fire. Somehow I slept through all of this. The sirens of firetrucks didn't wake me up. I don't wake up to that, and yet whenever my roomate comes stomping into the room I wake up immediately. I don't get it. Oh, and they also decided to give us updates about the power outage...through e-mail. Umm, yes, I was able to turn my computer on because it was charged, but the internet wasn't working anyway. So nobody got those e-mails until after the power came back on. I'm very happy to have the power back now, seeing as I kind of need to start studying for finals and that's hard to do without any light. Sigh...I so don't want to start studying. I feel like my brain has already shifted into summer mode. Only 10 more days!! I can't wait to see you guys!
