It's been a month since I last updated, which I find really strange. I guess everything's still going pretty well since last time. I had strep throat last week, which knocked me out for a few days. It was so painful! Now I'm still taking medicine, but I'm pretty much all better. I couldn't talk, eat, swallow...couldn't do much of anything - so I'm glad that's over with. The only really bad thing is that for once in my life I actually had Valentines plans, but I had to cancel. It wasn't like a big date or anything...but I was gonna hang out w/Jim, and I haven't seen him in forever, which is beyond weird, so now it's even sadder that my being sick ruined that.
Other than being sick, I've had some signficant things going on. My Spring Break is coming up the week of March 5...and I'll be going to Kentucky to do service work w/the Newman Club. I'm excited but at the same time, a little nervous. I don't feel prepared to go yet. But it will be fun. It has been a while since Naz Farm, and that was my most recent week-long Service Project. That was the summer of senior year. I also dropped off my application today to be an RA while I'm at the Castle next fall. I reeeeeally hope I get it. It would be really cool to have that kind of leadership while I'm in Europe next year.
Matt's girlfriend Marissa cut my hair a few weekends ago at the Fottlerdome and it came out good. It's a little longer than my chin and it's nice and thin because it's layered & angled. We had a huge battle of the sexes at the house too the night i cut my hair, and sadly the girls lost bad. it was 10 against 4 o it wasn't our fault. I'm volunteering for "Big sister" this semester and I met my little sister two weeks ago. Her name is Winnie Lyn and she's an asian girl who's in third grade - a real sweetheart. The best thing we have in common is that we both really like the pokemon gameboy game - HAHAHAHA. I haven't played that since HS! The funny thing is I know she has a fancy gameboy color that closes shut and i have a huge gray one....yeah - I'm dated like that! But it's cool to remember something that fun that I'll be able to share w/her. I'm also doing this program called ACT Leaders which is a 1 credit non-tuition credit, which will put me right on track, because I'm exactly one credit off from transferring. It has to do with service work and being active in the community of emerson w/service work.
tomorrow im meeting my aunt sue and little cousins for dinner in boston. and i have a poker game next weekend. I can't believe it's midterms already. yeah - that's it
