NYC!!!

So I went to New York City this weekend! It was a lot of fun... except when it wasn't but let me explain.

Friday: I went to class and snuck out 15 minutes early so that I could make it to the train station on time. I took the train and got in about half an hour later then I was supposed to. That was stinky. Then I went the Roosevelt Hotel (yep that's where we stayed) with my mom, Ben and Uncle Matt. My Aunt Diane and baby cousin Seirra were there. She is still adorable and she still loves me. We didn't do much that night, just watched a little TV and went to bed.

Saturday: I woke up early (like 6:30) and went to pick-up breakfast for the whole group with my mom. My aunt and uncle were getting ready for a Bat Mitzvah so I occupied Sierra. When they left I put Sierra down for a nap and watched some TV. When she woke up my mom and I got her ready to meet my anut and uncle at the reception for the Bat Mitzvah and took a taxi over to Tavern on the Green. We dropped off la bebe and decided to find a vendor for lunch. When we didn't find one, we went to a cute Greek cafe. The food was terrific and the people were really nice. We walked around Central Park for the rest of the day and then went back to the hotel around six. My aunt and uncle decided to stay in for the night, so Ben, mom and I checked out Times Square. Ben and I played some games at ESPN Zone and we walked through Toys R Us Times Square, which was awesome. I got to go in Barbie Dreamhouse! Then we went up to Rockafeller Square and ate some pizza.. delicious. Then back to the hotel and bed.

Sunday: Got up early again. Went to a beautiful church.. St. Thomas's on 5th Avenue. I know that a lot of you might know what this means but for those of you who do, they only use Rite I in the prayer book... I was so confused and kept saying the wrong words, but anyway. We got "the best bagels in NYC" at H&H Bagels and went to down to Lower Manhatten to see Ground Zero and St. Paul's Chapel. St. Paul's Chapel was really amazing. I it is a chapel that is right across the street from Ground Zero and it was not damaged at all when the towers collapsed. They opened up the chapel as a respite for the people that were working at the site and have made it into a little muesem for 9-11 and it is very well done. Anyway, after that we walked down Wall Street and then down to Battery Park. I was feeling a bit queasy and mom thought that I was probably dehydrated, so she got me some ginger ale. I started to feel better and then all of the sudden I was worse and I puked right in the middle of one of the walk ways. I was crying for my mom and making a general fool of myself. To top it all off the bathroom was closed and I had to clean-up in a waterfountin. We took a taxi back to the hotel and mom decided that I couldn't take the train home so she decided to drive me. So we packed up and headed out.

When I got back I went right to bed because I had to get up early for work. I was feeling better so I had some Cream of Wheat and a lot of water. The T was deserted on the way in so I got to work in record time and got paid extra for helping open. Yea! Then got to run the Toddler Room for a little while. I was off at 11 so I came back here and I still didn't feel 100% so I just watched the marathon on TV and took a nap.

Well that's all for now because this was supposed to be a quick update. More later.
