As promised, I'll write about yesterday :). Well, I knew that yesterday would be long, just because a dance competition normally starts (for the dancers) at six in the morning and ends at around eight or nine at night. But yesterday was also the night of the Sadie Hawkins dance, and I wanted to go to that as well -- I'm a senior, and somehow, for the last three years, I've never gone to Sadie's; this would be my first one. My thoughts were shared by about 4/5 of the the team, and the coaches said that after we performed for the second round, we could wait for the intermission, and then head back home to get ready for the dance. Only about 4 girls (not including me) were going to stay at the competition, just in case we happened to win an award, and I felt that as a captain, and a senior on the team, that I should probably stay as well, and show support. I didn't have a date either, so there was not much point in me not staying at the competition. So after we performed, all the Sadie's goers left, and it was incredibly awkward, because the whole audience noticed that there was only five people left from our normal 20-member team. Growl. But there is a little bright side to this. The competition ended at about 8:15, and the remaining five of us reached home at around 10:00 from Tigard, so we still had time to go to a little of Sadie's. Kayla and I went home to change, so by the time we got back to the dance, it was 10:30 -- but we still had a good hour to dance.

The dance competion went well, but the team didin't win any awards. I thought this may have been one our best performances, but our team hasn't been doing all that great performance-wise, so our best doesn't measure up to other teams -- yet. I still have confidence. Helen won at drill down, so I'm very, very happy for her!

The dance was crazy! I had so much fun! I know I didn't have a date, but I was there with Kayla, Helen, Trish and Malaina, and we just made a circle and showed off our moves ;). Hehehehe, way fun. Just a nice way to end the day. I was soooo tired at the end of it though, I could barely stand...I think it was just the added tiredness from the competition paired with all that decreased energy from the dance that made me like that -- I'm normally a night person.

Anyways, that was my awesome day yesterday. Today will be considerably more mellow -- homework and Mr. CV practice. Yay.
