Last night, Meli, and Lindsay and Caleb and Elliot and I went sledding, all over Rosie and Cripple Creek. Chigmut (sp?) powerline was the best- waist-deep powder, which we carved a louge run into. Me and Eli and Lindsay piled into The Tub (our big snowmachine sled the size of a small bathtub) and ran it, going so fast, with no way to steer, that we all went flying when we hit the bank. We sledded down the road, to Potter, went up and down that, then down Becker Ridge, then Rosie Creek. It was so warm and slick, it was incredible. And sadly, the light pollution blotted out the stars, but it lit up the sky pink, and made everything glow. We ran into Zachariah on a backroad of Cripple Creek, which was kind of nutty. We came home and the sky opened up and dropped 8 inches of powder while we slept.

Today is going to be good for walking, oatmeal cookies and tea. This is the side of winter I love.
