When I was thin I just went with the smallest size but now I have to work around my fat ass XD And I guess I still haven't got it just right. Seriously. How do I NOT know more people that love this show? How is it JUST me? Because I KNOW other fans exist. I see their pictures on-line and I hear the commentary about other fans who have done crazy ass shit that is AWESOME!! (The Sgt. Hatred that brought Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick a basket of Howdy-do[mostly okra] is my favorite.)
Maybe its just...that its too wordy? There's plot involved that isn't "Hey remember that time there was a smurf? [cut to smurf making stupid joke] [cut back to main story that has no real plot]". I think their jokes are HYSTERICAL but they are interlaced into the actual story and a lot more witty and subtle than most of the shit you see on Adult Swim.
Seriously, I LOVE this show. I love EVERYTHING about this show. I love the style of humor, I love the animation, I love the design, I love the characters, I love when Brock goes on a killing rampage and I love when The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend have relationship problems. I love the music because a lot of the times its fake ACDC or Fake Sugarcubes and they have titles like Dean's Love Reaction. I LOVE ORPHEUS and his rants! I love Sergent Hatred's attempt to fight his pedophilia and his gardening tips. I love Sergent Hatred. There! I've said it! I love that Hank and Dean are developing into two completely different people. I love the Hunter S. Thompson character Hunter Gathers. I love that Molotov Cocktease is the biggest double-agent double-crossing double...DOUBLE DOUBLE MINT GUM. I LOVE THAT THE SOVEREIGN OF THE LEAGUE OF CALAMITOUS INTENT IS DAVID BOWIE!!!!!

There ISN'T a character I don't like. Even when some of the other fans don't like certain characters( Sergent Hatred, The Murderous Moppits....Dermott LoL) I STILL LOVE THEM, or at the least I don't hate them. The only one who ever REALLY creeped me out was Captain Sunshine...but that was mostly because I didn't want him to rape Hank!! BUT CAPTAIN SUNSHINE HAD THE VOICE OF THE ORIGINAL(cartoon) BATMAN!!

I know this should be..."Whatever tickles your fancy" and while the Venture Brothers DO(to great extent) I keep getting bombarded with the thought...HOW AM I THE ONLY ONE I KNOW WHO LIKES THIS SHOW!? Is it because it comes on at a completely RANDOM time? Sundays at 11? WHO'S WATCHING TV AT THAT TIME!? Is it because the humor isn't random and retarded like Family Guy (I enjoy that show but only because it grew on me after a LONG battle of not liking it)?
Is it because the story is generally continuous? IS IT REALLY JUST NOT FUNNY!?
No. That's absolutely not it. Because I KNOW its funny.
I don't get it.
What I do get...is that I LOOOOOVEEEE this show. I was one of the few who managed to watch it when it first aired its pilot and YES i liked it originally because Doc Venture and Brock Samson were a little gay at each other XD. But there was also a Ninja, and a Fantastic Four parody and a man dressed as an Evil Butterfly 8D It was so....like The Tick that I was IMMEDIATELY in love. And then it was gone for a while.
I thought it was one of those few Cartoon Network one shots that fade outta my life (like the Josie and the Pussycats music video) that I'd never see again and would be one of those "You remember when..."
But then when I was living in Florida....it came back. IT CAME BACK TO ME! And all was good.
I bought the DVDs as soon as I could and the damned series kept starting right when I'd go to Japan. EACH TIME!!
I've only recently just bought them all again (Although splitting up season 4?? not cool. However, the man nipples on the inside of the dvd case, hysterical.)
