So...I finally got a chance to watch the Deathly Hollows trailer. I was waiting to see it in theaters....its the last movie(s) so I wanted to give it a little special treatment.
But because of it I've gotten a bit of the Harry Potter fever in me again. It never REALLY went away just sorta laying dormant.
And then I started thinking....I started reading the second book(I read them out of order because I saw the movie first) in the middle of Highschool, right after the first movie came out(Well...it was on VHS at the time) and I of course read them all up until Goblet of Fire in the span of a month. Ever since that first book I've been in fangirl love with Snape. All fan-dorkness aside over who's paired with who (I actually started out liking Snarry XD Hahaha), Snape has been my number one, absolute favorite character. Through all the highs and lows of the series and the fandom that's been a constant. I was one of the few (out of my group at least) who knew he was the Half Blood Prince before the book even came out.
Though. To be fair, it was kinda obvious when they had a potions book on the cover of the UK version. Honestly.
Even when he killed Dumbledore I stood by the fact that he wasn't evil. (Lol but I always added "If he is....I'll still love him") Literary reasoning aside, I always sorta knew he wouldn't be bad in the end. I also, came to terms with the fact that he was going to die REALLY early on. Long before the six and seventh book came out. It was a...matter of time-but lets pretend it won't happen sort of thing. (I haven't forgiven her for Lupin though. First a dead-beat and then dead.)
So needless to say...that's a GOOD LONG TIME of liking a certain character, COUNTLESS notebooks filled to the brim with that same hook nose and greasy/shiny hair. Mostly ridiculous art, but every now and then something nice. But FILLED with Snape. Snape with or without Lupin. Snape with or without Harry. Snape with or without clothes. SNAPE SNAPE SNAPE.
And it'll be all over so soon. Nothing to look forward to, and even now something HORRIBLE for me to look forward to. I was driving in my car and Pulp's "I Spy" came on. That song always reminded me of Snape (for VERY OBVIOUS REASONS), and I was pretty cool when the song came on even though the song before it was Kylie Minogue's "I Should be So Lucky". I was like "I can Snape it up right now sure!"
I couldn't get through it. Because I was like "WAAAAAAAHHHH SNAAAAPEE!! I DON'T WANNA LISTEN TO THIS ANYMORE~!!"
So. I think long story short, I'm going to miss that snarky, evil, ugly, greasy, weenietime becauseeverythinghedidhedidforthelittleredheadgirldownthestreetlikeCharlieBrown, insufferable bastard.
