Sorry to be off the air for a while, but the bulk of any journal entries I've written have all been private. The General has decided not to call them "minions" anymore. Since they're more like junior partners, we're running a few new phrases past the PR boys to see what sounds better.

The reason the General keeps his people loyal is because he knows to reward them, and not to randomly disintegrate them with his Eye Lasers of Death (TM) - a hard lesson learned, but ultimately worthwhile. That, and the General knows to surround himself with people that STAY BOUGHT.

Darkseid has no people management skills and lives on a planet that is 70% fire-pits. Aside from possibly picking up a pointer or two about getting around urban zoning laws, I don't see what else the General would possibly need or want from ol' Granite Face.
