Kyle and I spent all day together. It was pretty effing fabulous. He got to my house at 6:45 and we took off by 7:15 for Aliso Creek Wilderness Park. We got there early to beat the heat this time....we weren't so lucky last time. So i hop on my bike and realize i wore the wrong shoes. I did a 15 mile bike trail (which 80% is uphill) in my slip on pirate shoes haha. Oops. Felt horrible but oh well. So we get to one of the first of many steep uphills (Cholla) and we get a little ways up and i start slipping on the rocks, it was so steep and i don't have the muscle to get up it haha. So we walked the rest of that hill. Kyle says most people walk the last bit of it anyways. There was a series of huge steep hills, i dont' remember their names. The first 2 hours was uphill. But as soon as you get to the top of this incredible mountain, its all worth it. The pain, the heat, the sweat, did i mention the pain hahahahaha. There is an amazing view of the ocean and rolling hills and cliffs. Then we continued through a rich neighborhood at the top of the mountain to Meadows, a trail Kyle and i had done about 1/2 of on our previous ride. We accidentally went up half of it when we realized it was a downhill. So we went back down. This time we went to the "top of the world' as they call it, to the top of the trail. It was the farthest Kyle has gone. We didn't know what to expect with the first half of this trail, so Kyle went down first and stopped if there were any tricky parts to warn me.

First Fall: 4 effing hikers taking up the entire trail....knowing we are coming...not moving. Us going down this trail....i had to slam on my breaks, skid out and fall. Bruised my leg pretty good. We keep going...

Second fall: I get to a sharp left turn out of nowhere and can't handle it so i break and slide out of control and fall but i was able to half catch myself. Only scrapped up my right ankle a bit. The rest was good. I got more brave and went faster down the rest. Kyle went over his handle bars once haha. But he was fine, he was able to land on his feet.

Pretty amazing.

There was a guy riding next to us while we were heading to Meadows...we weren't entirely sure where it started so we asked him and he was going there too so we followed him. Kyle told him it was only my second time out there. The guy said i was doing a great job since i was able to get to the top of the world. He told me to just take it slow on the way down.

I can't wait till we go again.
