Bummed/Optimistic
They hired on a guy at new band tv to do marketing. I felt a little undercut. I've been busting my ass for no money for almost 2 months. I don't think the owner really knew I was a marketing intern. He's never around. oh well. The manager did, which makes me mad. Such is life, as my dad says. I had an amazing talk with my dad tonight. I called him because i knew my mom is in reno and he was probably lonely with the 3 legged cat and crazy dog that likes to play with the bowling ball in the dirt. strange little family isn't it? anyways, I told him about my plans of updating my resume (which i just did) and researching companies. Unless new band tv hires me on part time in the next few weeks i am gone. And if I don't have a job by then, not much of a loss haha, working for free anyways. I will get a job somewhere. They aren't hard to find. Something to keep me occupied while I am searching for a good job. Its hard though because I am still in school. Ideally, I want to find a part time marketing assistant position, or something along those lines, entry level marketing, so when I go back to school, it will be flexible enough.
My dad also said whatever I decide to do they will support me in it because they see how responsible I am, and how hard I am trying to make things happen for myself. It was seriously one of the best conversations I have ever had with him.
I'm most likely going to try and find a job in Irvine or Costa Mesa and possibly move there if I do find one. But if i find a good company in Long Beach, I may just stay where I am in my own apartment. There are so many possibilities. It's kinda strange. Haha. I started out bummed writing this. But now I am optimistic.
