We just got back from the fabric store!!
We went so that Heather could buy stuff for her flat pattern final project and Leah and I both ended up getting more fabric. I wish I had a camera to take a picture of the fabrics. They're so cute. One is a black background with red roses and thorny vines and clusters of little skulls. The other is women dressed in black and white dresses and there are little hummingbirds randomly scattered about to add a touch of color. I think I'll use the skulls for a skirt and the ladies for a dress. I have some ideas. I guess I should try to skecth them out.
We were going nuts in the Fabric Place yelling to each other "Come look at this one!" and so on. I think we were making the old ladies who worked there nervous. I kind of wish I got the fabric with the pin-ups on it. I guess I could go back. Cassy has a car here and Heather is a commuter so I could ask them to take me. I think I'm going to need some black netting anyway for the skirt I want to make of the skull material.
Buying fabric really makes me wish I were skinner so that I didn't have to spend so much. haha. But I'm going to the gym at 8 tonight. Maybe I'll get back into a decent routine for the last 3 1/2 weeks of school. Better late than never I suppose.
