England....!

So I am going to update at last because I really need to plus its
Required that I do some kind of journal entry every week (which I have already not done.) So I am going to use this journal.

So life in England is going quite well. I really love the school everything was a bit scary and overwhelming the first week here... I think I was in a constant state of confusion! But I am starting to settle in. I finally have my room set up and classes have started. I live off campus about 4 miles away in the city of Gloucester, I live right on a beautiful walking street, smack dap in the middle of shopping/ cute town central!
My room is sweet I am at the very top and have a window seat (really just a big window seal which I forced into begin a window seat.) And it looks right out at the beautiful Gloucester cathedral where Harry Potter was filmed! Its great living off campus I am really glad i decided to do it everthing from discount stores to clubs and starbucks are in walking distance. We buy are bread Fresh at the Crusty loaf and are veggies at the farmers market and evrthing else at grocery stores. Getting to and from the college is a bit of a pain they have buses but sometime they are stupid and leave early or dont come! But this last weekend we just got bikes so now we can bike to school however alot of the way is uphill... oh well I'll come back with buns of steel!

My classes are awesome I am taking four: equine sports medicine, equation, Equine performance and business studies. Its doesn't sound like allot but they assume you'll spent 12 hours a week on each class. I am terrified of grades in these classes though, they are really hard, I don't know the system, and the grade is based solely on one test and one paper!
So far most the people we've hung out with are from are apartment I think there are about 20 people living here. Everyone is really cool and we get along well, there are allot of international people in this house and are favorite is Chile a Rugby player from Hong Kong... he is so much fun Ali and I and him play together all the time.
We've been out to the pub twice with are roommates, that one issue, people go out to the pub all the time and granted I love hanging out with them but neither Ali or I want to be getting "pissed" as they call it and certainly not every night we'd rather hmmm... go swing dancing!! But we kinda got a system now we order Smirnoff Ice because they are really cheap, low in alcohol and really good! Studying aboard really is just like I was warned it is not what you expect to be and things are really different. It's interesting the little things that are frustrating. And the things that are funny it is a very different experience to be the weird forgin ones! Like Chile pointed out the other day that we are thy only ones on campus that wear backpacks... we hadn't even noticed!
The other funny thing is that the English loves are accent, I always thought they thought American accents were vulgar but actually they all think it's cool. we'll be on the bus talking and someone we'll be staring at us every time we talk and exchange funny looks and then ask are you guys from America? And then get all excited! And one of are room mates is always saying that he loves are accent and wants to tape it! And all of are rooms mates think it's hilarious when we say noodles for everything... I guess the call it pasta Humph…werid!
Some things that are frustrating some that are weird
No boxed Mac and cheese anywhere to be found! They think I am crazy trying toexplain it.
) Everything in the grocery store is tiny small peanut butter tiny flower bags.. It's2 strange )!

they call cookies digestive biscuits! (They are good though especially Hobnobs)3)
they love beans eat them for breakfast and toast
) French fries are called chips, chips are called crips
But they are fun differences sometimes frustrating, sometimes funny! But it is really awesome learning about how things work so differently here. I really am having an amazing time and things have just got started! Yeah England!! Oh and I got a tea set and I have tea here all the time !
Today I have my first riding classes which I am very excited about! And Wednesday I think we are actually going to take part in the pub crawl yeah fun!
I do miss home a lot and am pretty sure I am going to come home for Christmas so hopefully I will get to see everyone then!! Yea!
xoxo
Cheers
