I'm back! Oh my, Ames is the most boring college town ever! Saturday night was ok, nothing special, my mom and I ate at Carlos O'Kelly's, one of two mexican restaurants owned proudly by Irish people (my dad and sister ate in at the hotel). Then there were creepy basketball guys who were talking like I couldn't hear, all I wanted was a pillow. Creepy to the core.
Sunday I almost died, I slept like, 4 1/2 hours, and went to this place for meg's orientation. I spent like, two hours reading, until I was too tired to even focus, then I sat and listened to music. Afterwards was lunch and the schedule listed places that were open for lunch. Of course, we checked all of them and none of them were open. So I'm tired as hell, dying from lack of sleep, burning up and really pissed off. So, I took the car while the family went to more things of orientation goodness. We switched rooms, and check in wasn't until three, so I had to wait three hours. I drove around, visited an antique store. The only good store even open. There were two other stores I was interested in and one was only open thursday through saturday. What evil is that? The antique store had the most amazing hats! The only good part of my day. So, I sat back in the hotel for another 1 1/2 hours, reading. Turns out I couldn't check in. Went back to campus and slept under a tree for an hour, then went to the SU to wait for parents, continued to read even more. Ate dinner. Sat around at a boring meeting for parents and read the local newspaper that only featured cartoons. Good stuff. Went back to the hotel where I sat in semi-comfort. I hated sunday.
Monday aka today, sucked, nothing happened in Iowa, drove home and the suckage continued. The end.
