Much has happened since Monday, so this is going to be a long one. I'll try to make sure it reads as well as possible.
I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable, relaxing, romantic V-Day. The chamber orchestra played very well. I had forgotten how much I enjoy a good string concert. I've never been a big fan of saxophones, thanks to being in jr. high band, but the one that solo'd was excellent. He was captivating to watch and his choice of music was just right. Wesley looked so nice, all dressed up; and I always enjoy a chance to wear the black lace gown. After that we enjoyed some scrumptious take-out sushi. Take-out was such a great idea. I think I am going to declare it a V-day standard. Curling up and watching Casablanca, what girl wouldn't be smitten with that?? My baby is the best.
Wednesday was as non-descript as one would expect a Wednesday to be.
Thursday was my last day working at the ENT. They ran out of projects for me to do. I wish I could have kept working there until school started a week from tomorrow. I'm going to be mighty bored this week.
And Friday. Good ol' Friday... heh. I met Lyerly for lunch at Sakura. The Reader's Digest version is this: Cisco truck blocks entrance to back parking lot. Eryn moves forward a touch to park in apt complex across the street. Cisco truck moves. By this time, redneck Katrina construction man in overly-large truck pulls up behind Eryn. Eryn puts on reverse lights to back up a smidge and pull into Sakura parking lot. ASSHOLE moves Forward!!!! Eryn pissed. Eryn looses cool. Eryn's visibility in new car not so great anyways. Eryn runs over curb while going into apt complex parking lot. Tire pops. Eryn throws fit. Eryn has lunch (very tasty, but I was distracted). AAA comes and puts on the spare. In the meantime, ASSHOLE pulls into apt complex. He says "Hey, is your car ok. I saw you hit that curb." Fucker. "I have a flat tire, I have to buy a new one." "I'm sorry about that." Yeah, I bet you are. Fucker. Eryn spends all afternoon in Firestone, watching Judge Judy because some hillbilly turned the volume back up. I had planned on studying. Meh.
I had already scheduled a massage for six. It was wonderful and helped me forget all about the fact that this town if full of redneck, inconsiderate Fuckers. Oh, except for the loudmouth getting a massage one curtain over. She wouldn't shut up. This isn't counseling. It's massage therapy! ::deep breath::
After that, Wesley and I went out to say goodbye to some friends who were moving. They are good people and I hate to see them go. But I get the feeling it isn't the last we will see of them, a good thing.
But! heh. While Wesley was driving, my car decides to speak her mind about my mistreatment of her earlier in the day. The driver-side window's cable snaps and the glass drops into the bottom of the door with a decisive ::BANG:: It scared poor Wesley and I was left wondering WTF just happened for a few seconds. It was very strange. Once I realized what had happened, and that the glass wasn't broken, I laughed and laughed. I don't know why it was so funny, but it was. I just hope it is sunny tomorrow for my ride to Jackson so Dad can fix it. It's great being the daughter of a mechanic.
Saturday. Shrimp boil, Wesley and Jason. Good times. Jason and I went to pick out a movie while Wesley cooked (and did a Wonderful job of it). There isn't much selection right now. We got Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which is a good movie and The Girl Who Shagged Me. Jason spotted it first. It was in the new releases. We thought it would be a British comedy. It ended up being a B-movie tittie flick. It was awful. I mean, indescribably awful. The sound track didn't match the video. The sound effects were obviously stolen from a Charlie Chaplain film. A jr. high boy Must have written the script. We were all cracking up.
It was great to see Jason. It has been a long time and he's good people.
Today has been nice. Wesley and I went to church this morning at Trinity. Fr. Steve is a party in a box, but the congregation is SO frigid. It seems an odd combination. I like Ascension better, on first impression, but if it means Wesley will attend with me, I will be happy to attend Trinity. Plus, I think they will be able to offer more to our age bracket, and so many of our friends have already made the jump.
I think I might buy an Ipod.
All in all, it's been a good time. Nothing too major going on. I've enjoyed being able to spend time with the man that makes me happiest before he flies out to his next adventure.
